Design
The facility is organized to support flow, collaboration, and flexibility. Scaled to create an inviting, student-centered environment, the building’s layout fosters connection between classrooms, labs, and open learning zones. Adaptable spaces and operable walls support a range of teaching styles and instructional approaches. The design was directly shaped by the educational vision—creating a flexible, real-world learning environment that enhances student engagement, discovery, and long-term success.
Value
The design process prioritized flexibility, long-term value, and cost efficiency. Durable materials and high-efficiency systems reduce maintenance and operating costs. Flexible spaces adapt to evolving programs, extending the building’s lifespan. Strategic planning and phasing minimized disruption and maximized existing infrastructure. Alternative design options balanced performance and cost, delivering a future-ready facility that preserves district funds while serving students and the community for decades to come.
Wellness
The school’s design supports student well-being and academic growth through flexible, tech-rich spaces that foster collaboration and engagement. Varied scales, adaptable furniture, and open areas encourage movement and choice, supporting different learning styles. Abundant natural light, indoor-outdoor connections, and inclusive design features create a welcoming, healthy environment that enhances focus, motivation, and a sense of belonging—positively impacting behavior and performance.
Community
The high school fosters a strong connection to its community through welcoming design, shared spaces, and partnerships with local industries. Its open, flexible environments support collaboration, while outdoor areas host community and partner events. The building reflects local values and offers real-world learning, inspiring pride and a sense of belonging among students, staff, and the broader community it serves.
Planning
Collaboration was central to both the planning process and the learning experience envisioned for the building. Stakeholders from district leadership, faculty, students, and industry partners contributed to a shared vision for a facility that would bridge high school, higher education, and the workforce. The resulting building supports career exploration and provides clear, navigable pathways to college and industry credentials—equipping students with the tools, experiences, and confidence they need to succeed beyond graduation.
School Transformation
The project transforms learning by creating a dynamic, student-centered environment that reflects real-world settings. Flexible, tech-enabled spaces support collaboration, creativity, and exploration. Abundant natural light, transparency, and adaptable learning zones empower both students and staff, fostering innovation and engagement. The design motivates learners and educators alike to explore, connect, and thrive in new, meaningful ways.
